TANK FEATURES
Team Poly tanks are manufactured in one piece and have their lids cut and re-fitted for two reasons: Transport and Access. Removable lids allow easy access for regular cleaning. Having the lid cut and replaced does NOT reduce the strength or performance of the tank. The removable clip-lock lid design screws back into place with stainless steel screws to prevent the entry of contaminants and vermin.
Over the past 13 years, around a quarter of a million Team Poly tanks have had their lids cut and re-fitted. These tanks will service farms and properties for many years to come.
Team Poly tanks help the environment - we strive to be industry leaders by fully absorbing all emissions of carbon dioxide emitted during production and distribution of our products.
These are the steps we have taken to achieve this goal include:
Reduction of energy wastage.
Recycling programs in place at the point of manufacture.
Injinya Woods afforestation project has begun with 43,000 trees already planted with a further 105,000 planned over the next 4 years, (calculations in accord with the Government Gas Office Formula indicates that 200,000 trees will totally absorb all greenhouse gas emissions by Team Poly)
Assistance for drivers
Team Poly will deliver (in most cases) all tanks over 2.89m dia. free of charge. However our drivers do not install and/or plumb tanks, but will unload the required tank(s) from the truck. Please ensure you have coordinated sufficient people to be able to assist the driver to position your tank as close as possible to the site. If the required people are not available the tank will be left in the nearest practical position. The people required are outlined below:
* Requires 1 person plus driver.
** Requires 2 people plus driver.
*** Requires 3 people plus driver. Centre poles can be installed by our driver on site, however another person must be present at all times when the driver enters the tank to install the centre pole. Team Poly is committed to ensuring the safety of it's drivers under the various states Occupational Health & Safety Acts and Australian Standard 2865 (Safe Work in Confined Space). If there is no one available the centre pole will be left with the tank for the customer to install.
Truck-trailer Access
Please be aware that our truck-trailer combinations are 19m long 2.8m wide and up to 4.6m high. We require clear access through gates, roads, roundabouts, crossings and trees on your property to deliver your tank safely and without damage.
Securing your tank
Team Poly recommend putting at least 25mm of water into the tank or otherwise secure the tank from being blown away. Team Poly takes no responsibility for tanks damaged in this way. The onus is on the purchaser once delivery has begun at the intended property/site. See page 8 for Tank Base Examples and Plumbing Details.
